How to calculate the torque of a rotating shaft.?
I am going to do a project on Vertical Axis Wind Turbine and its testing using different design of blades. With different blades i may get different rpm of shaft. The rpm can be measured by a digital tachometer. But to know the power we should also know the torque as P=2pieNT/60. So please tell me how can i determine the torque of the shaft.

Power equals torque dotted into rotational velocity.
P = t (dot) w = twcos(theta) *theta is the angle between torque and angular velocity*
twcos(theta) = 2(pi)NT / 60
t = [2 (pi) NT] / [60 w cos(theta)]
Omega can be found simply by finding the RPM with your tachometer.

You could just do
t = I w
that is if you know the moment of inertia for your turbine
